ChainLinks Special Edition June-July 2003

The CAN Executive wished to edit the original June-July edition to add an item but unfortunately the Editor (me) was overseas. It was decided to go ahead and produce a version anyway. However the production method meant the issue was not up to the normal standard. Also a number of articles and pictures got lost.

As this was my last issue I was obviously disappointed at the result, especially after the many hours put into the original - it is not a fitting “swan song.” I have therefore decided to produce a Special Edition which contains the whole of the original version, plus some extras including the article whose addition was the reason for the re-edit.

Of course it is up to you whether you get this version, but it is much better (it’s not just vanity at the typography). I didn’t manage to get the “Perry” bicycle - spotted in Firenze - into the issue, but then maybe that would have been a bit too indulgent! ;-) However there is a retrospective, more articles, more pictures - and all in the usual ChainLinks style with high quality graphics. It’s 60 pages compared to the re-edit’s 44.

So to see it in all it’s glory email <chainlinks AT zoot DOT net DOT nz> to request a copy be sent to you by email, or download directly below.

There are two versions available:

Screen Quality
A screen resolution (72dpi) A5 PDF (479Kb)
High Quality
A higher quality (150dpi) A5 PDF (993Kb). This version can be enlarged on screen to view the graphics better and prints well on most inkjet printers.

No A4 printer quality version is available for download, if you’d like a 2-up printer-ready A4 version email and one will be sent out (1.6Mb PDF). No printed version is planned.

I have enjoyed editing ChainLinks and parting is sad. However times change and it is time to move on, maybe one day I’ll be back...

Yours,

Nigel Perry, former Editor, ChainLinks, <chainlinks AT zoot DOT net DOT nz>
